Who we are

Welcome! My name is Francisco Arias Jr. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #82279) in the state of Texas. I am also a National Certified Counselor(NCC # 1165565). I have a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. I completed my undergraduate work at the University of Houston where I received a bachelor’s double degree in psychology and biology. Go Coogs!

I have experience as a counselor working with diverse populations including immigrants, refugees, veterans, victims of crimes, trauma survivors, adolescents, and anyone from the community who has hit a rough patch in their lives.

Prior to my career as a counselor, I spent 7 years in education as a high school AP physics teacher. I spent numerous hours a day tormenting my students with algebraic equations. Years later, I’ve come to make amends by providing people with ways to manage their stressful lives.

Outside of work and family, I enjoy volunteering for my church. I am a musician, engage in missions work, and teach scripture. I named my practice Planted by Water from biblical references that often involve trees. God has always been good to me and my family and has never failed me. The Bible teaches that those who trust in God are like trees planted by water. There are different seasons in our lives which affect us and yet God promises peace if we put our trust in Him.
